Sponsoring the CSA is easy and has a great ROI!
Here is some information for you if you are interested in becoming a sponsor the CSA. The West Michigan Chapter of the Cloud Security Alliance is working on its non-profit status with the federal government but is currently registered as a non-profit with the State of Michigan.
The CSA is dedicated to making our events be educational and not laden with sales pitches. As a rule, we instruct all of our speakers and presenters to be topical and vendor-neutral (unless asked specific questions or are discussing a specific technology). We will continue to have a zero tolerance policy for anyone we feel is violating the chapter’s mission.
That being said, we all know that events cost money and money requires sales. So, we created our happy hour/networking session for each event we do. This gives the sponsors a chance to interact with the folks that are at the event, to put up a table as well as have marketing materials and swag available for people to take. You are welcome to get people’s contact information, business cards or even have a raffle or drawing.
CSA policy states that we cannot give out mailing lists or share people’s information without their express consent so while we cannot share the list of people attending, we can with certainty say that we promote the events heavily around West Michigan and promote our sponsors along with the event. We believe that the community outreach is also a critical part of what we are doing.
